The State Fair would like to thank our country’s first responders by honoring our various active and retired public law enforcement, firefighters, paramedics, and other emergency services agencies. All first responders can save$5 off on weekdays (Monday-Friday) and $7 off on weekends (Saturday-Sunday) when they present a valid badge or ID card from their department or organization at the gate or online. Spouses of first responders and accompanying children under the age of 18 also receive discounted admission.

Once you're inside, you'll need to trade your cash for coupons to fill up on fair food or have fun on the Midway. Coupons cost $1 and they never expire - so hold on to any extras for next year! Just like admission, the State Fair is offering deals inside the gate.
Tasting “Fair food” is a big reason why people visit the State Fair of Texas, but if you have any dietary restrictions or other reasons for wanting to bring your own food or beverages, please do. Coolers and ice chest are allowed but will be searched as you enter the grounds.
Choose the day you attend in advance with the one-day admission ticket to the State Fair of Texas. Prices for daily admission tickets vary by day of week. Ticket prices start at $15 for adult tickets and $10 for child and senior tickets.
On Tuesdays, prices for fair rides are reduced; and on Thursdays, prices for fair foods are reduced. Therefore, depending on which fair activities you most enjoy, you can save a few bucks.
State Fair parking is $20 per space at official Fair lots. All State Fair parking is well lit and conveniently located near pedestrian gates. Bicycle racks are located inside Gates 5, 6, and 11, but they are on a first come first served basis. Premium parking is available for $40.
No, coupons are used to purchase food and beverages, ride rides, or play games; however, you will need cash or a credit card to purchase items from our shopping exhibitors. Several ATMs are available throughout the fairgrounds.
Yes, people are allowed to bring their own food and beverages into the fair. However, metal forks and knives, glass containers and alcohol are prohibited. If you bring a cooler, it will be searched the fairground gates.
Also, unless it's on your bucket list, skip the so called state fair tradition of having a Fletcher's Corny Dog. They are salty and nothing more than a small regular hotdog dipped in corn batter and fried and now cost a ridiculous $5 !! Many better food choices and certainly many better values.
All guests will be screened for weapons either by a walk-through or hand-held detection device. Bags, purses, coolers, and similar containers will be searched to determine if any illegal, prohibited, or suspicious items are present that may pose a safety or security concern within the property.
The state fair is a lot of fun-expensive, but fun. However Fair Park has a lot to offer after the fair is over. The beautiful buildings are worth looking at without walking through the crowds plus if offers several museums plus the Dallas Aquarium which is recently renovated.
A Few things to know. Admission for children ages 3-12 ranges from $10-18, depending on the day, and children ages 2 and younger are free. The State Fair of Texas offers a Safe Kids Program for lost children. Pick up wristbands for your children at any Information Center around the grounds.
Premium one-day admission tickets are valid on any of the 24 days of the Fair. Premium tickets work with your schedule and provide the most flexibility, allowing you to attend any of the 24 days of the Fair without having to select the day in advance. Premium tickets can only be purchased online.
DART makes it easy and affordable to enjoy your day at the fair. Just ride the DART Rail Green Line to Fair Park Station, located on Parry Avenue at the entrance to the fairgrounds, or MLK, Jr.Station, located south of R.B.Cullum Blvd.
