Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Acts as system administrator for EScrap, running reports, and managing plant user access
Acts as system administrator for Production Pull System (PPS), running reports, solving part pull issues, implementing PPCR changes, creates, edits, and manages schedule templates
Downloads MODS, PPS, EPS, MGO and EScrap data as necessary using current cycle of events
Is responsible for the VBIM database
Setting buffer calculations
Setting up new parts plan
Overrides parts and times that don’t fit plant system as needed
Maintains a system to oversee overrides
Reloads and updates modules (ex. Labels, EPS)
Runs reports out of VBIMS and analyze same
Corrects data as required in VBIMs and MGO
Determines criteria for all buffers and runs on a weekly basis
Updates buffer to mainframe as needed
Participates on conference calls with the VBIMS administrator and the current users of the VBIMS system
Develops and maintains queries through the access database to be used for reports used on a day-to-day basis
Performs download select and updates existing VBIMS modules that are in use in the plant
Analyzes ECS (Engineering Changes) report and supplies new visual management cards as needed; monitors proper bank load timing to avoid obsolescence or part shortages
Creates new visual management cards as needed
Implements, monitors and maintains GMS elements
Participates in Material MAX meetings – confirms correct delivery frequencies with in plant Ryder analyst
Builds and maintains build out and SORP lists
Owns model change snake files
Copies old part information to new part in accordance with ECS and model change
Problem solves PPS and bank pull issues
Manage plant subassembly recipes and update as needed
Manages permanent PVIs, working with plant controls to ensure PLC consumption is maintained
Additional Description
Must have previous experience in with Visual Buffer Inventory Management and VBIMS modules
3yrs of automotive experience
Experienced in ECS (Engineering Changes) report and supplies new visual management card
The role will include relocation benefit for candidate that lives 50 or more miles from location.
This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report on a full-time basis.
